Producer Auditor Srinivas this time catches the national interest through his film. The short lived first wife of father of Indian constitution Dr Ambedkar – Smt Rama Bai is the subject for ‘Rama Bai’…Mrs Ambedkar for Auditor Srinivas. Another great coincidence is that on the 125th birth anniversary of Dr Ambedkar April 14, this film is set for release.

‘Rama Bai’ married when she was nine years to 16 years Bheema Rao and she died in the year 1935 doing lot of service to the achievement of Dr BR Ambedkar in the initial part of his life.

‘Rama Bhai’ Mrs Ambedkar is the film starring Yagna Shetty in the title role. It is based on Siddaram Karnik book on Dr Ambedkar. He is also playing the prominent role of Dr Ambedkar. In Dharwad and Karwar the shoot was held for 30 days.

Yagna Shetty says doing this role it was very comfortable. M Ranganath is director of this film. He has made research on ‘Rama Bhai’ for six months to take up this film. K Kalyan in music and Gurudut Musuri in cinematography are part of this two hours film ready to hit in June this year. K Kalyan says it was learning experience for him as he got to know several things.

At the media briefing DSS members Jagannath and Mohan Raj were present. They remembered stage play enacted in Marathi and parts of Uttar Karnataka region.

Auditor Srinivas and director Ranganath thought of Sudharani and Bhavya for the role of ‘Rama Bai’. Finally they opted for talented Yagna Shetty.
